The Powerhouse alliance has launched a new standard for the building of the future, called the Powerhouse Paris Proof. This standard is based on the Paris Agreement's 1.5 degree goal and indicates a total greenhouse gas emissions for the building over the life cycle. It is also an underlying requirement that it be built as a plus house. The partners' first realized project was Powerhouse Kjørbo in Sandvika outside Oslo. This was Norway's first plus house and the world's first rehabilitated plus house. ZEB (The Research Center on Zero Emission Buildings) and Enova have been key partners in the realization of the project. and consists of the Norwegian real estate company Entra, the project developer and contractor Skanska, the environmental foundation ZERO, the architect and design office Snøhetta and the consulting company Asplan Viak.
