|Definition||Energy geostructures are underground structures with the double role of structural support and heat exchanger with the subsoil to satisfy the heating and cooling needs of buildings. Pipes are embedded into concrete elements in contact with the ground (foundations, retaining walls, tunnel linings, etc.) to allow for heat exchange with the ground. The heat is then conveyed to a Heat Pump System to be distributed to overlying buildings by a secondary circuit.|
